Finally, after over 40 years of IT work, support, training, fixing, building solutions, managing, and all the rest, I gave up IT in 2023 and retired.
That was an interesting journey. Many of the technologies we take for granted today were developed and became mainstream in that time. From "minicomputers" (no PCs yet) to the modern internet and cloud infrastructure we all share. No mobile phones back in the day. In fact the processing power of the modern smartphone well exceeds what we were using to run companies.
So life today is about health, photography, my blog and genealogy, along with a bit of AI fun thrown in.
Photography has been an interest of mine for years. As the technology has progressed so have I, as an amateur photographer. From shooting with compact 126 and 110 systems, to using basic SLR cameras to modern mirrorless and smartphone technologies.
Some of my photography is for sale on a couple of sites, go check it out.
Life is a journey. Travel safe, eat well and take a camera.
A bit of travel, a bit of lifestyle. Have a look at my current projects here.
